Lindsey and Jeff are married! And to say their venue was the most amazing barn in America would be an understatement! Come to think, it MUST be amazing for Jeff to get married there since it's in Dallas, PA and he's a die hard Eagles fan. Ok, sports jokes aside because my Cowboys don't have any skin in the game. Even more incredible than their venue is how well they compliment each other, how perfect their day was and how blatantly deep their love for each other is! I am so happy to have gotten to witness and capture YOUR day, Lindsey and Jeff! Without further ado, check out their day now!
Theresa and Joe. Words aren't really necessary about these two, as the pictures will speak volumes of who they are and the love that they share, but I am so thankful to have met them and to have shared this day/adventure together! We lucked into one of the most beautiful days I have ever experienced in Colorado(not exaggerating) and as my dad always says, "I'd rather be lucky than good." I might add that after the incredible year I've had with such amazing couples, I am going to say that I am getting good at being lucky! We had pegged Kenosha Pass as our meeting spot and prior to the shoot, Theresa had asked if we could line up a lake along the way. I did some google searching on the map; saw a bit of blue named Jefferson Lake, which I'd never been to or heard of before and decided that was our spot. It was truly meant to be. Little did we know that we would end up with a magical winter wonderland with only a lone fisherman to share the landscape. Anyhow, without further ado, check out Theresa and Joe and their photos!
Jackie and Zack. Zack and Jackie. What to say about these two?! They make such an incredible team and it showed in their beautifully planned DIY wedding! When someone tells you that their wedding is going to be in the groom's father's backyard, you never know what to expect, but they transformed the space so wonderfully, you'll just have to see it for yourself! All the decorative details aside, their love is so real you could feel it through every moment of the day! Don't hesitate to check out their dreamy DIY wedding now!
Meet Tim and Alana! I am so beyond lucky and blessed to have connected with these two for their engagement photos in January of 2016 and to now be able to call them friends. We actually did their engagement photos one year to the day of their original wedding date. They then found out they were going to have to add a plus one of their own for their wedding and have to postpone it a few months. Fast forward to their new wedding date, March 24th, 2017 and their cute, cool, hip 4 month old, Jude, nearly stole the show! I am so thankful to have gotten to witness their "I-Do's" and hangout at the after party until 6am before catching an 8:30am flight the next day. I think I'm still tired from the after party, but I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! Without further ado, check out their wedding story here!
Meet Megan and Greg! They got married at El Chorro in Phoenix and if it's not the #1 venue in Arizona, it's gotta be right up at the top of the list! I was blown away by how we were in the middle of the city and yet it felt like we were in a secluded perfect oasis. These two and their beautiful familes and friends put on a party for the ages! Quite possibly my favorite wedding moment or favorite funniest moment of all time was when the bouquet got stuck in the chandelier during the bouquet toss! To see what happened next, you'll just have to scroll and find out!
It's such a blessing to get to capture your friends wedding, especially those who were pushing you to chase your dreams of photography and go full time long before you actually did. To be in my fourth year full time now and to get to capture Ashley's wedding was such an honor because she was one of those people. All that mushy stuff aside, Ashley and Steven picked THE best weekend for fall color last year and a venue in Camp Hale that is just so stunning! Check out their day here and if you want some background music, check out the song that Ashley's brother Austin wrote and performed for them at their reception!
In regards to their secret wedding back on April 3rd, 2015: "With Bobby joining the military, we knew he'd be stationed in Cali. We knew we wanted to get married down the road so eloping sounded way less stressful than being long distance for anymore time(it had been 2 years at that point). Bobby had always wanted to have a big wedding in the backyard, so keeping it under wraps was our way of still having the fun that comes with planning a big wedding. And a bonus ended up being figuring out what it meant to be husband and wife without the outside pressures of social media, etc" -Haley
Fast forward to December 31st, 2016 where Haley and Bobby rang in the new year in style celebrating their "I-do's," making them public in the family's backyard with all their friends and extended family. The backyard by the way, was converted into one of the best and dreamiest of venues I've ever seen! Kudos to the family and their event planner, Elizabeth Marcou for making it so amazing! I am so happy to have gotten the opportunity to spend time with these two and all their people as we counted down the end of 2016 and started 2017 off with a bang!(Literally with all the sparklers and fireworks!)
Lastly, a huge shout out and thank you to my friend and amazingly talented photographer, Jo Julia Ramsey for shooting with me and giving up her NYE to do so!
Without further ado: Check out Haley and Bobby's special day!
Alysha and Tommy had a winter wedding for the ages and a dance party that I am certain will never be forgotten! I am still bummed that I missed the mannequin challenge that happened after I left! We had just the right amount of sunshine to keep us warm during their portraits and family photos even though it was quite brisk that day! Take a look at the story of their day here through both my photos and my 2nd photographer, Trevor's!
Jeff and Ashley...The Schmillers(Schmidt + Miller). I don't even know where to start with these two, but I know that I am lucky to call them friends and to get to witness their beautiful and adventurous love for each other. That being said, for their engagement session, they didn't want to just do a shoot. They wanted to turn it into an event with all their favorite people: CAMP SCHMILLER. Camp Schmiller in their eyes would be a 3 day, 2 night camping trip with all their people and 2 mini-shoots that you just can't miss because these two and their love for each other exudes from the photos on the screen! Speaking of the photos, I was blessed to get to join forces with both Tommy and Derek, and cannot take the credit for this shoot solely because they are both beasts behind the camera and helped me turn this shoot into what you see here! Lastly, I should put a WARNING out there: in the Camp Schmiller campsite segment, there may be a photo of a few naked butts. Consider yourself warned.
All that being said, to learn a little bit more about The Schmillers, read the following writeup by Ashley on their first meeting thru to how Jeff proposed. I cannot wait to celebrate them this fall at Camp Hale!
Devin and Sierra...these two...are just awesome. I love how silly they are together and how much fun you can tell they have. Fun amplified now that they even have a mini-me in Daxton, who pretty much stole the show all day, smiling on cue and watching his mom and dad tie the knot like the little stud that he is! I'm so excited for these two, their growing family and for their life together now as husband and wife!
