I don't think you can truly capture love, if you don't love love.  I'm the hopeFULL romantic who hides his own tears for you behind the camera during the sweet moments of your day.  Who believes that learning about you is paramount to being able to capture you.  Who believes that "true love is the soul's recognition of its counterpoint in another." Ok, MAYBE I borrowed that line from Owen Wilson's character in Wedding Crashers.  But really, telling your love story through my photos is my greatest joy!

A little about me: I am an adventure and sports loving Texan (Yes, I'm a Cowboys fan) forever lost in the mountains of Colorado. Crushing all the pow. Taste testing all the craft beers.  Eating all of the tacos and salsa. Watching all the rom com's and not ashamed one bit.  And if I'm at a place that allows dogs, you better believe my pup is right there alongside.  I am in year 8 of doing photography full time and I cannot imagine doing anything else!  I wake up every morning and feel so lucky and blessed to get to capture some of life's greatest moments for YOU:  from engagement and wedding to maternity, newborn and yearly family photos!

I think it was always just meant to be. 
Last minute, we decided we wanted to take our engagement photos on our short trip out to Colorado. Not even days later, we found you on Instagram and had our session booked. We didn’t need a meeting, phone calls, or much reassuring because your work speaks for itself. We were complete strangers, but from the moment you started planning and communicating with us, it just felt right. We can’t thank you enough for the amount of time you put in to planning our shoot and finding the perfect location since we live all the way in Atlanta. Between your professionalism and your personality, you know how to read people and to be able to work with them in a comfortable way which made us have a blast the entire shoot. It had always been a dream of mine to get engagement photos done somewhere different, but you exceeded all of my expectations. Mark and I were so happy to be able to explore a new place together and have you perfectly capture our love for each other. You made my dreams come true with these photos and I know we will cherish them forever. I can’t help but smile whenever I look at them because they perfectly depict us and how happy we are together. My husband and I met Brian the day after we got engaged by trying to steal his table at a brewery.  What we thought at first to be ironic ended up being fate because we never once considered anyone but Brian when it came time to choose a wedding photographer.   He is personable, laid back, and genuinely takes interest in your story.  From an engagement shoot in Colorado trekking up mountains, to our wedding in Phoenix where my dress got filled with cactus balls – our photo adventures with Brian did not disappoint.   

On the day of our wedding, we had a slight weather change, where we were not supposed to get quite as much light as expected, and Brian told me my options for after ceremony photos.  My husband and I were set on not seeing one another before the ceremony, so we pretty much had to scrap the original photo plan.  Brian knew I was struggling with what to do and basically told me: “You hired me for a reason, I know what kind of photos you want, and I know what we’re going to do”.  So I said: “Yup, let’s do that”.  I one hundred percent trusted him and was one thousand percent happy with my decision.  His photos truly are pieces of art that will hang in our families’ homes forever.

From start to finish and even weeks after, our wedding party and families could not stop talking about how friendly and efficient Brian was throughout the whole event.  Even my parents’ closest friends who hadn’t spent the day with us referred to him as the “photo ninja” because he was stealthily snapping the best party pics at the reception.  Not only is Brian friendly and efficient, he is also a ton of fun and makes you feel totally comfortable being photographed.  Now Brian is not just our “wedding photographer”, we consider him our friend, and someone that will be a part of our lives as we build our family and our future.

These are just so incredible. 

Jimmy and I smiled and laughed for an hour while we scrolled through these. You are so gifted. These are not just beautiful and artistic, but such a joyous collection of thousands of candid moments from an amazing day. In some ways, they also offer us a behind-the-scenes look at our own wedding. We missed a lot of the dance moves and photo booth poses - so it was great to get to see the smiles and laughter that happened when we were in another room.

We're particularly thankful for the amazing shots you got of my mom, grandparents, and Jimmy's parents. These are people who aren't usually in front of the camera but are so special to our families. It's priceless to have nice photos of them.

It's true that I once suggested we escape to some remote corner of the country and elope - but now I see clearly how meaningful it was to bring all the people we love under the same roof in the city where we met. Thank you for so expertly and lovingly capturing an unforgettable day.

Overall, Brian was extremely professional during the meetings leading up to the wedding, the wedding day, and follow-up after the wedding.  What we liked most about him was his communicative nature. He would always get back to us very quickly when we reached out to him. So many wedding vendors would take their time replying to our calls, email, and texts (which was frustrating to us because honestly...what bride has time for that...lol) however Brain would ALWAYS get back to us right away, which we appreciated. Brian had a very personable presence and we immediately felt comfortable around him. 

During our second meeting with Brian before the wedding, we sat down and went through a step-by-step process of the wedding timeline. This helped us know where he and his assistant would be and what they would be capturing throughout the entirety of the event. We outlined our highest priority events/photo moments so he could know which types of photos were most important to us. Brian also had us create a list of all of the family photos and groupings we wanted captured. 

What I also appreciated about Brian is that he naturally took leadership to assimilate all the groups during the family photo and group photo and kept to an accurate timeline. Brian was excellent getting the groups together and quickly/efficiently getting through the family photos!

Brian not only did what was expected of him, but he continually exceeded our expectations. 

With Brian, you will get a professional who will be 100% invested in capturing your special day, and you will also get a friend who is just a fun person to be around (which is important when someone is capturing intimate moments on the most important day of your life)!

I was in a number of other weddings this summer and found myself getting frustrated with the other photographers and thinking to myself that if Brian were shooting this wedding things would be going much smoother. From beginning to end, we found Brian to be a professional of the highest sort. We were referred to him and, after meeting with him once, determined that we did not need to seek another option. We met in person twice (but communicated via email extensively) before at breweries just to chat, and during that time all the way to the wedding day, he worked to accommodate each of our requests. To that end, he provided some meaningful (and correct!) advice about how we ought to structure the timing on the wedding day. He shared our enthusiasm for our big day; he went on a scouting trip at our venue a few weeks before the wedding to find the best spots for the first look, the pre-wedding photos and post wedding photos. All of this resulted in results that far exceeded our expectations. 

We have many friends getting married in the coming months and not once have we failed to mention Brian's name. If you are lucky enough to find an opening on his calendar, take it!

THANK YOU. I stayed up way past my bedtime last night and looked through all of them. I was going to email you then, but then I started to ugly cry and Bailey(our dog) told me to "knock it off, mom".  So now I'm at work and only sniffling. (happy tears, of course). These pictures are beyond beautiful and capture the happiest day of my life. We are so happy to have not only had a wonderful photographer for the wedding, but a friend. Thank you for all of your hard work in helping our wedding along and we can't wait to continue hanging out with you and Ky :-)
